We have high expectations of all our students and provide access to a broad and balanced offer. The offer is designed to support our curriculum aims and principles and approaches.
In KS3
We provided access to as broad a range of subjects as possible, maintaining a largely mainstream approach with an additional focus on support for personal development including school skills, an intervention programme to support reintegration and progression. We also have a focus on filling gaps in learning to build resilience, confidence and success.
The timetable includes:
English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, Humanities (Geography, History, Citizenship/R.E.), P.E., PSHE, Catering, School Skills, PiXL Edge, School Preparation – motivational sessions, Literacy and Options which includes community service, boxing therapy amongst other choices.
In KS4:
We provide access to a broad range of qualifications including to, at least, 5 GCSEs or equivalent so that young people have the best possible chance of a successful transition into Education Employment and Training (EET). We aim to ensure that all students have access to Vocational and Functional Skills qualifications.
